In the lively Sant’Ambrogio district of Florence, Sara Bardazzi opens a ceramic workshop, welcoming clients and enthusiasts for events and open labs.
The project addresses the dual nature of the workshop: as a shop, requiring a graphic and visual identity, and as a workspace, configurable for various ceramic processes, considering public opening hours. A third identity is added, linked to the numerous group workshops hosted in the laboratory on holidays.
The space is organized around a central table, with exhibition and work surfaces distributed along the sides. The main window of the workshop faces the crowded Via de’ Macci, becoming an exhibition niche for Sara's porcelains and a privileged viewpoint for passers-by.
Each element is part of a single, filigree-framed Exhibition Design, defining the space through the intersection of vertical and horizontal planes. The neutral colors of the iron furnishings, the earthy tone of the floor, the wooden shelves, and the pastel tones of the ceramics give the space a simple, domestic atmosphere.
