In Florence's bustling Sant'Ambrogio neighborhood, Sara Bardazzi opens a handcrafted ceramics workshop where she welcomes clients and enthusiasts at events and open labs.
The project was confronted with the twofold soul of the workshop; that of a store, to be given a graphic and visual connotation, and that of a working environment, configurable according to the various ceramic processing activities, in relation to the different times of opening to the public. To these is added a third identity, related to the numerous group workshops, hosted in the workshop during the holidays.
The space is organized around a central table, while display and work surfaces are distributed on the sides. The main shop window faces the crowded Via de' Macci, becoming a display niche for Sara's porcelain and a vantage point for passersby on the street.
Each element is part of a unique Exhibition Design filiform frame, which designs the space through the intersection of vertical and horizontal planes. The neutral colors of the iron furniture, the earth tone of the floor, the wooden shelves, and the pastel tones of the ceramics give the space a simple, domestic atmosphere.
