Just a stone's throw from the lively little square of Sant'Ambrogio in Florence, Poké by Miya opens, where you can stop by with friends and order good food.
The restaurant consists of a main entrance space and two interior rooms, where you can sit once you have finished your order. The spaces enjoy direct street-facing views and feature traditional materials, such as wooden ceilings and exposed brickwork. From the outside, the gaze of passersby is caught by the wall mosaics, true interior sets that work as wings in the space and act as a backdrop to the restaurant's activities.
The two mosaic walls recreate a play of warm, multi-hued hues, also echoed by the terracotta red of the counter and the wood essences of the furniture. The counter is custom-designed and set up to meet the needs of dish preparations. A ceramic paneling covers the walls and offers itself as the back of one of the two wooden benches, also custom-designed and usable as containers for objects and utensils.
